Vivant et Lisse Belgian Tervuren

 

I had not planned on keeping a puppy from this litter. I already had three dogs, with two of them still in training and competing, so that kept me busy enough. At around 3 weeks of age, a puppy was laying up on the edge of the whelping box, with her bottom being supported by a brother puppy.  That day, and with other observations, I realized quickly that this girl had to go into a home with an experienced trainer.  She needed to be involved in performance sports and, as she developed physically, it was clear that she also needed a conformation show home.  My criteria became an experienced show person plus an experienced trainer who would do a minimum of two different performance sports with this girl.  That is not always easy to find, and although I had several people who really wanted her, none of them fit all of the criteria I had set.  

Short story is that Sprite is with me, and she is everything I expected her to be.  She has an awesome, confident and discerning temperament, is structurally sound, with lovely movement and beautiful expression with nice small ears.  She finished her championship with ease, going Best of Breed over specials numerous times along the way.  In her offspring, she has consistently produced beautiful, sound fronts, solid toplines, small ears, and more importantly, solid temperaments and dogs who love working and learning with their owners!
